IShares offers exposure to equities from three region with climate and other sustainability filters with three ETFs.
29 March 2022. FRANKFURT (Börse Frankfurt). With the iShares MSCI Europe Paris-Aligned Climate UCITS ETF EUR (Acc) and the iShares S&P 500 Paris-Aligned Climate UCITS ETF USD (Acc), investors have the opportunity to invest in companies from Europe or the USA that are compatible with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. The aim is to reduce the burden of transitional and physical climate risks on the one hand, and to take advantage of opportunities arising from the transition to a lower-carbon economy on the other.
The iShares MSCI Pacific ex-Japan ESG Enhanced UCITS ETF USD (Acc) provides investors with exposure to large and mid-cap companies from four of the five developed countries in the Pacific region. These include Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore. Stocks from Japan, on the other hand, are not included. The selection of companies is designed to maximise decarbonisation under the EU Climate Transition Benchmark as well as ESG assessment.
For all three iShares ETFs, companies are selected using a best-in-class approach to identify the best sustainable companies in each relevant sector. Companies involved in controversial conventional and nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, thermal coal, tobacco or un-conventional oil sands, or that violate the UN Global Compact principles are not considered.
