What does Xetra price improvement offer you?

Always the best Xetra price

With Xetra price improvement, you automatically secure the best available price when trading stocks, ETFs, and ETPs. Tighter spreads reduce your costs and ultimately increase your returns. In addition, transaction fees for banks and brokers are reduced—an advantage that is often passed on to you.

All you have to do is select Xetra as your trading venue when placing your order. This means that as a private investor, you will always receive at least the current Xetra price – and often even an improved price.

  • Last month, private investors saved just under €1.2 million thanks to better prices (as of November 2025).
  • On average, that was €7.27 per order with a better price.

How do you get the best Xetra price?

It's simple: when placing your order, select Xetra as your trading venue and you will automatically receive the best price. It's easy:

  1. Select Xetra in your order form.
  2. You will receive at least the current Xetra price or an improved price.
  3. Benefit from lower costs and higher returns.

How does that work?

Market makers provide private investors with buy and sell offers that may fall within the usual spreads. This means that your orders will be executed at least at the current Xetra price or better.

In addition, the transaction fees for these executions have been reduced – provided that your bank or broker participates in the service and passes on the benefit to you.

The offer applies to all approximately 1,000 stocks and 3,000 ETFs or ETPs traded on Xetra.

This is how you can see the best price

  • The marketplace can be easily set to Xetra on the data sheets for stocks and ETFs.
  • In the quote module, you can see the regular bid/ask on Xetra at that moment and better price offers within the range – the current spreads and trading volumes are displayed there.
  • In the price lists and watch list, the more attractive Xetra Plus prices are also highlighted in gray so that you can recognize them at a glance.
